The data refers to the number of TV operators. In the survey are included indicators for the broadcasted programmes (by origin and function) in hours and the revenue and expenditure of TV operators.

Audio-visual broadcasting is a series of moving images with or without sound, which is a distinct part from program scheme or catalog, established by a provider of audiovisual media services and whose form is comparable to the form and content of television broadcast. They are produced for distribution among the population by function - news, information, topical, entertainment, educational, artistic programmes (feature, television and video films), music and more.

Units of observation are Bulgarian National Television and private TV operators licensed and registered by national origin.

Individual data are not published in accordance with article 25 of the Law on Statistics. The publishing of individual data can be performed only in accordance with article 26 of the same law.
