According to the preliminary data in June 2022 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, decreased by 0.8% compared to May 2022.
In June 2022, the calendar adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 17.4% in comparison with the same month of 2021.
In June 2022, 3 090 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places, functioned in the country. The total number of rooms in them was 131.4 thousand and the bed-places were 295.0 thousand. In comparison with June 2021, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) increased by 20.1% and the bed-places in them - by 20.6%.
The total number of nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in June 2022 was 2 824.7 thousand, or by 71.5% more in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in June 2022 reached 178.8 million BGN, as 114.6 million BGN were from foreigners and 64.2 million BGN - from Bulgarians.
According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the second quarter of 2022, the number of newly built residential buildings was 1 128, and the newly built dwellings in them were 3 826. Compared to the second quarter of 2021, the buildings were by 261 more (or by 30.1%), and the newly built dwellings in them decreased by 342, or by 8.2%.
In July 2022, the total consumer confidence indicator increases by 3.0 percentage points compared to its April level, which is mainly due to the increased confidence among the urban population.
In the second quarter of 2022, the municipal authorities issued building permits for the construction of 2 249 residential buildings with 13 810 dwellings, 20 administrative buildings/offices and 1 164 other buildings. The construction of 1 388 residential buildings with 7 202 dwellings, 11 administrative buildings/offices and 604 other buildings was started.

In May 2022, compared to April 2022, an increase is reported for the production of solid fuels - by 7.8%, liquefied petroleum gases - by 28.6%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 15.9% and transport diesel - by 25.3%. A decrease is reported for the production of electricity - by 12.0%. No change for the production of natural gas.
In May 2022, compared to April 2022, an increase is reported for the deliveries of solid fuels - by 7.8%, unleaded motor gasoline - by 41.9% and transport diesel - by 4.2%. A decrease is reported for the deliveries of natural gas - by 1.0% and electricity - by 6.7%. No change for the deliveries of liquefied petroleum gases.
The Total Producer Price Index in June 2022 increased by 3.4% compared to the previous month and by 41.4% compared to the same month of 2021. The Producer Price Index on the Domestic Market in June 2022 increased by 2.4% compared to the previous month; compared to the same month of 2021, the domestic prices increased by 49.3%.
In July 2022, the total business climate indicator remains approximately to its level from the previous month. An increase of the indicator is observed in industry and retail trade, in service sector preserves its level from June, and in construction a reduction is registered.
In June 2022, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 680.6 thousand or by 48.4% above the registered in June 2021.
In June 2022, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 131.9 thousand or by 52.4% more in comparison with June 2021. An increase in the trips with all observed purposes was registered. Transit passes through the country were 34.9% (394.6 thousand) of all visits of foreigners to Bulgaria.
