Bulgarian Trade with EU in the Period January - June 2017 (preliminary data)
In the period January - June 2017 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 11.3% compared to the same period of 2016 and amounted to 16 345.6 Million BGN while the imports grew by 12.2% and added up to 18 067.5 Million BGN.
In June 2017 the exports to the EU increased by 13.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and added up to 3 048.5 Million BGN while the imports grew by 7.6% and amounted to 3 122.5 Million BGN.
Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - July 2017 (preliminary data)
In the period January - July 2017 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 18.9% compared to the same period of 2016 and amounted to 10 304.5 Million BGN while the imports grew by 29.9% and added up to 12 135.7 Million BGN.
In the period January - July 2017 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 29 772.4 Million BGN and in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year the exports increased by 13.8% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 33 192.8 Million BGN and grew by 17.0%.
Bulgaria and EU: Gross Domestic Product, second quarter of 2017 (preliminary data)
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2017 increased by 0.7% in the EU-28 compared to the previous quarter by seasonally adjusted data. For the same period GDP in Bulgaria increased by 1.0%.
Construction Production Indices in July 2017
According to the preliminary data, in July 2017 the index of production in section ‘Construction’ calculated on the base of seasonally adjusted data was 0.6% above the level of the previous month. In July 2017 the working day adjusted index of production in construction increased by 7.9% in comparison with the same month of 2016.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in July 2017
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in July 2017 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month.
Industrial Production Indices in July 2017
According to the preliminary data the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, increased by 0.2% in July 2017 as compared to June 2017. In July 2017 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 4.2% in comparison with the same month of 2016.
Gross Domestic Product for the Second Quarter of 2017 (preliminary data)
According to the seasonally adjusted data, the GDP growth rate in the second quarter of 2017 is 3.6% compared with the same quarter of 2016 according to the preliminary estimates.

According to preliminary data the foreign direct investments in the non-financial sector as of 31.12.2016 amounted to 23 491 million Euro, which is 1.4% more compared to 2015.

At the National Statistical Institute according to preliminary data 54 licensed insurers, 9 pension companies and 27 pension funds managed by them, 249 special investment purpose companies and 9 926 associations and foundations have submitted their annual reports for 2016.
Activity of Non Financial Enterprises for 2016 (preliminary data)
According to preliminary data 335 802 non-financial enterprises submitted their annual reports for 2016 at the National Statistical Institute. They generated 137 139 million BGN of production value and 48 566 million BGN of value added at factor cost, and employed 1 966 554 persons.
