Bulgarian Trade with Third Countries for the Period January - August 2011 (preliminary data)

In the period January - August 2011 the Bulgarian exports to third countries increased by 32.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and exceeded 9.8 billion levs while the imports increased by 22.4% and amounted to 12.0 billion levs.

In the period January - August 2011 the total value of the exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 25.7 billion levs and compared to the corresponding period of 2010 the exports increased by 34.0% while the total value of all imported goods was 28.2 billion levs and increased by 20.3%.

In the period January - July 2011 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 38.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 13.8 billion levs while the imports increased by 20.2% and amounted to 14.3 billion levs.
In July 2011 the exports to the EU increased by 15.5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and exceeded 2.2 billion levs while the imports increased by 18.4% and exceeded 2.1 billion levs.

Industrial Production Indices in August 2011

The preliminary data showed that the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted decreased by 2.0% in August 2011 as compared to July 2011. The working day adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 1.0% as compared to the same month of 2010.

Producer Price Indices in Industry, August 2011

Producer Price Index on Domestic Market in August 2011 decreased by 1.0% compared to the previous month, while compared to the same month of 2010 the domestic prices grew by 6.6%. Total Producer Price Index fell by 1.3% compared to the previous month, compared to the same month of 2010 the prices went up by 7.0%.
