Trips of Bulgarian Residents Abroad and Arrivals of Visitors from Abroad to Bulgaria in December 2020
In December 2020, during the continuing epidemic situation in the country, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 269.4 thousand, or by 49.1% under the registered in December 2019.
In December 2020, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 246.9 thousand or by 63.3% less in comparison with December 2019.
Business Conjuncture, January 2021
In January 2021, the total business climate indicator increases by 6.9 percentage points compared to December 2020 as a growth of the indicator is registered in all observed sectors - industry, construction, retail trade and in services.
Activity and condition of accommodation establishments during the state of emergency in December 2020
The National Statistical Institute conducts monthly short survey among the managers of accommodation establishments to gather accurate and timely information on the state and development of their businesses during the ensuing epidemic situation in the country.

The consumer price index in December 2020 compared to November 2020 was 100.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.5%.
Trade in goods of Bulgaria with EU in the Period January - October 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - October 2020 the exports of goods from Bulgarian to the EU decreased by 5.6% in comparison to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 29 762.1 Million BGN while the imports of goods to Bulgaria from the EU dropped by 10.9% and reached 29 823.2 Million BGN.
In October 2020 the exports of goods to the EU decreased by 5.0% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 321.9 Million BGN while the imports of goods dropped by 12.3% and added up to 3 347.4 Million BGN.
Trade in goods of Bulgaria with Third Countries in the Period January - November 2020 (preliminary data)
In the period January - November 2020 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries decreased by 12.3% compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 16 958.2 Million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries dropped by 9.6% and added up to 21 133.1 Million BGN.
In the period January - November 2020 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 50 011.9 Million BGN, which is 7.8% less than the same period of the previous year, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 54 484.0 Million BGN and dropped by 9.9%.
Activity of accommodation establishments in November 2020
In November 2020, during the continuing epidemic situation, 1 509 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 45.7 thousand and the bed-places were 91.5 thousand. In comparison with November 2019, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 17.9%, and the bed-places in them - by 15.8%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in November 2020 was 311.6 thousand, or by 59.2% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in November 2020 reached 16.0 million BGN or by 62.5% less compared to November 2019.
Industrial Production Indices in November 2020
According to the preliminary data in November 2020 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, decreased by 1.5 % as compared to October 2020.
In November 2020 the working day, adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 5.0% in comparison with the same month of 2019.
Turnover Indices in 'Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles' in November 2020
According to the preliminary seasonally adjusted data in November 2020 the turnover in ‘Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles’ at constant prices increased by 1.2% compared to the previous month. The working day adjusted turnover fell by 6.4% as compared to the same month of the previous year.
