Situation of the non-financial enterprises in the epidemic situation in November 2021
Main results from the short business survey amongst the non-financial enterprises, aiming at presenting information on the economic effects from the declared state of emergency and the ensuing epidemic situation in the country due to COVID-19.

Environmental Statistics - Annual data for 2020
The National Statistical Institute presents the results of annual surveys in the field of environmental statistics for 2020.
In 2020, the share of tangible fixed assets with ecological use at the end of the year by accounting value amounts to 4.8% of the total tangible fixed assets available in the country.
In 2020, the share of expenditure available at the end of the year for acquisition of tangible and intangible fixed assets with ecological use amounts to 2.8% of the total expenditure for acquisition of tangible and intangible fixed assets in the country.
In 2019 the quantity of generated municipal waste is evaluated to 2 838 thousand tons, maintaining almost the same level compared to 2018 (2 862 thousand tons).
Generated waste from economic activity in 2019 is 123 148 thousand tons. The non-hazardous waste is 109 654 thousand tons and the hazardous waste is 13 494 thousand tons. There is no significant change in the generated waste quantities compared to the previous years.
In year 2020, 5 077 million cubic meters of fresh water are abstracted in the country, which is 6.4% less than in 2019. The total use of freshwater and non-freshwater in the country in 2020 is estimated at 4 310 million m3 which is a decrease with 5.9% compare to the previous year.
Economic Accounts for Agriculture for 2021 (First Estimation)
According to the first estimate of Economic Accounts for Agriculture in 2021 the value of final output in agriculture was by 32.4% higher than in previous year. The gross value added increased by 44.7%, net operating surplus/mixed income - by 33.0% and net entrepreneurial income by 43.0%.
Consumption per capita in purchasing power standards in 2020
Consumption per capita varied between 61% and 145% of the EU average.
Inflation and Consumer Price Indices in November 2021
The consumer price index in November 2021 compared to October 2021 was 101.4%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 1.4%.
Trade in goods of Bulgaria with EU in the Period January - September 2021 (preliminary data)
In the period January - September 2021, the exports of goods from Bulgaria to the EU increased by 23.7% compared to the same period of 2020 and amounted to 32 790.0 million BGN while the imports of goods to Bulgaria from the EU grew by 25.3% and reached 33 199.8 million BGN.
In September 2021, the exports to the EU increased by 24.2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 3 947.1 million BGN while the imports grew by 27.4% and added up to 4 166.4 million BGN.
Trade in goods of Bulgaria with Third Countries in the Period January - October 2021 (preliminary data)
In the period January - October 2021 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries increased by 20.8% compared to the same period of 2020 and amounted to 18 789.5 million BGN while the imports of goods from third countries grew by 26.4% and added up to 24 486.5 million BGN.
In the period January - October 2021 the total value of all exported goods to third countries and EU amounted to 55 803.6 million BGN, which is 23.0% more than the same period of the previous year, while the total value of all imported goods from third countries and EU added up to 61 802.0 million BGN and grew by 25.6%.
Activity of accommodation establishments in October 2021
In October 2021, during the continuing epidemic situation, 1 770 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places, functioned in the country. The total number of rooms in them was 56.4 thousand and the bed-places were 116.6 thousand. In comparison with October 2020, the total number of accommodation establishments (functioned during the period) decreased by 0.4%, while the bed-places in them increased - by 5.6%.
The total number of nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in October 2021 was 614.2 thousand, or by 1.8% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year.
The total revenues from nights spent in October 2021 increased by 11.9% compared to October 2020 and reached 35.5 million BGN.
Information and Communication Technologies Usage in Enterprises in 2021
In 2021, 96.1% of the non-financial enterprises with 10 or more persons employed had internet access. Fixed internet connection was available in 85.7% of the enterprises and the maximum download speed in 39.8% was more than 100 Mbps.
