The index of producer prices in agriculture in the second quarter of 2014 decreased by 3.3% in comparison with the same quarter of 2013 and increased by 2.5% compared to 2013.
The index of prices of goods and services currently consumed in agriculture in the second quarter of 2014 was 3.8% below the level in the same quarter of 2013 and with 3.9% compared to 2013.
The consumer price index in July 2014 compared to June 2014 was 100.4%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.4%.
In June 2014, 2 661 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 123.9 thousands and the bed-places were 268.5 thousands. In comparison with June 2013 the total number of accommodation establishments increased by 4.5% and the bed-places in them - by 5.0%.
The total number of the nights spent in all accommodation establishments registered in June 2014 was 3 410.0 thousands or by 1.6% less in comparison with the same month of the previous year. The total revenues from nights spent in June 2014 reached 144.7 million BGN or by 11.6% more compared to June 2013.
In the period January - May 2014 the Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 1.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 10.3 Billion BGN while the imports increased by 3.5% and added up to 12.3 Billion BGN.
In May 2014 the exports to the EU increased by 10.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and added up to 2.1 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 0.9% and amounted to 2.4 Billion BGN.
In the period January - June 2014 the Bulgarian exports to third countries decreased by 12.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and amounted to 7.5 Billion BGN while the imports decreased by 6.0% and added up to 9.4 Billion BGN.
In the period January - June 2014 the total value of all exported goods (both for third countries and EU) amounted to 20.1 Billion BGN and compared to the corresponding period of 2013 the exports decreased by 3.4% while the total value of all imported goods added up to 24.3 Billion BGN and decreased by 0.5%.
According to the preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) at the end of June 2014 the number of employees under labour contract has increased by 3.8% as compared to the end of March 2014 and reached 2.30 millions.
In the second quarter of 2014 in comparison with the first quarter of 2014 the average monthly wages and salaries increased by 2.6% getting 817 BGN.
