The NSI and the World Bank presented key results of the Poverty Maps in the Republic of Bulgaria Project

On December 18, a presentation of the main results of the "Poverty Maps in the Republic of Bulgaria" Project was presented at the Office of the World Bank Representation in Bulgaria. The project is part of the program of the Government and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). The project was launched in 2016 and was co-implemented by experts from the National Statistical Institute and the World Bank.

The implementation of the Twinning project in Azerbaijan successfully completed

Final conference on the completion of the Twinning project ‘Support to the State Statistical Committee in harmonization of the National Statistics System of the Republic of Azerbaijan in line with EU standards’ was held on November, 24, 2017 in Baku. The National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria participated as a junior partner in the project and the Federal Statistical Office of Germany was the leading partner. The duration of the project was 25 months (from October 23, 2015 to November 27, 2017) as the total value amounted to 1 178 763 Euro.

Project ‘Improving Quality of Labour Force Survey’

The National Statistical Institute started a project ‘Improving Quality of Labour Force Survey’. Contract № 07131.2017.003-2017.590 with the European Commission.

The project aims at improving the quality of LFS and assessing effect on data due to upcoming methodological changes in survey in line with Integrated European Social Statistics - IESS FR.

The duration of the project is 24 months with deadline September 2019.

Project ‘Pre-testing of new variables for future European Health Interview Survey waves’

The National Statistical Institute has started working on the project ‘Pre-testing of new variables for future European Health Interview Survey waves’. The implementation of the project is according to Grant Agreement with European Commission
No. 07154.2017.002-2017.494.

The aim of the Project is to perform the qualitative and quantitative testing of new variables for future European Health Interview Survey waves. Questions in different areas will be tested as follow:

The National Statistical Institute is a partner in the SME Innovation Capacity Boost (SMEInnoBoost) project implemented within the framework of the transnational program ‘Balkans - Mediterranean 2014 – 2020’ (Interreg - Balkan-Mediterranean 2014 - 2020) and is aimed at enhancing the innovation potential of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.

The project started on 1.08.2017 and has a duration of 24 months.

On May 10, 2017 at a press conference in the National Statistical Institute (NSI) a project “Aligning of the NSI information assets in accordance with Eurostat requirements and migration to Hybrid Private Cloud” was presented. The project is implemented with the financial support of Operational Programme "Good Governance" 2014 - 2020 financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.

The project duration is 18 months (September 2016 - February 2018) and amounts to 1 566 401.43 BGN.
