National Statistical Institute will conduct Household Survey on BGLD-3.001-0001 Project "Novel Approaches to Generating Data on hard-to-reach populations at risk of violation of their rights"

Between May 19 and August 31 2020, the National Statistical Institute will conduct a household survey.

The survey is being conducted in the framework of project BGLD-3.001-0001 "Novel Approaches to Generating Data on hard-to-reach populations at risk of violation of their rights", funded by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 (EEA FM) under the program Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Improved Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups. It is implemented in partnership with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).

Project ‘EU support to the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan to reach European standards’ successfully completed

Implementation of the European and international statistical standards was the topic of a conference held on 22 January 2020 in Baku. It marked the successful completion of the project ‘EU support to the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan to reach European standards’, in which Bulgaria participated as a partner. Mr Tahir Budagov, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee, opened the event.

Grant Agreement ‘Statistics on the usage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) 2020’

The National Statistical Institute has started a project ‘Statistics on the usage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) 2020’ in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 2019.0252. In the framework of the project, two separate statistical surveys will be conducted:
  • Data collection on ICT usage and e-commerce in enterprises 2020;
  • Data collection on ICT usage in households and by individuals 2020.

Project ‘Euromod input data and regionalisation’

National statistical institute has started work on ‘Euromod input data and regionalisation’ project according to Grant Agreement with European Commission No. 882188 - 2019-BG-SILC EM REG.

The main objectives of the action are:

On August 2, Friday, at 11.00AM in the building of the National Statistical Institute, Press center Hall, a press conference will be held presenting the project BGLD-3.001-0001 “Novel Approaches to Generating Data on hard-to-reach populations at risk of violation of their rights”.

The project is implemented under the ‘Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups’ program, financed by European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2014 - 2021 (EEA FM).

ESSnet project on Big Data II

On 19.04.2019 the National Statistical Institute signed the Grant Agreement ESSnet Big Data II: “Multipurpose Statistics and efficiency gains in production”. Due to the importance of the project and the complexity of the project tasks the work on the project started as early as November 2018.

The project, funded by the EC, has a duration of 26 months and it is a continuation of the project ESSnet - Big Data I.

Bulgarian experts will support the implementation of European standards in statistics of the Republic of North Macedonia

The Bulgarian statisticians will support their colleagues from the Republic of North Macedonia in the implementation of European standards and best practices.

The EU funded project ‘Improving the Production and Dissemination of Statistics’ started officially today on March, 29 2019, with Launch event at the EU InfoCentre in Skopje, the Republic of North Macedonia. 

The project aims to improve the quality and availability of statistical data in the Republic of North Macedonia and enhance their use in development and coordination of public policies.
