Project ‘Labour Force Survey - 2026 Module ‘Employment in Digital Platforms’

The National Statistical Institute is launching the project ‘Labour Force Survey - 2026 Module ‘Employment in Digital Platforms’, implemented under a Grant Agreement with the European Commission No. 101249897-2025-BG-LFS.

Within the framework of the 2026 Labour Force Survey, additional variables related to ‘Employment in Digital Platforms’ are included, in accordance with the European Commission Implementing Regulation No. 2024/2887 of 15 November 2024.

The main objective of the project is to collect information on the scope and characteristics of individuals providing services through digital platforms. The results of the project will provide a reliable statistical data for informed decision-making in the fields of labour market, social protection and digital economy.

The project will run for 22 months and is expected to be completed by May 2027.

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) is a state institution in Bulgaria that collects, processes and disseminates official statistical information on social, economic and demographic processes in the country. The NSI's activities are aimed at providing objective and reliable data that support informed decision-making by the state, business and society. The Institute works in accordance with international statistical standards and is an active participant in the European Statistical System.
