Grant Agreement ‘Digitalization of enterprises and households’

In January 2026, the National Statistical Institute started work on the project ‘Digitalization of enterprises and households’ in accordance with Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 101254675 - 2025-BG-ICT. 

The aim of the project is to provide reliable and internationally comparable data on the development and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) among the population and businesses in 2026, which are not included in the mandatory scope of the European regulations in the field. 

The project consists of two work packages (WP). 

WP 1 includes activities related to providing data on additional characteristics of ICT usage in enterprises, forming a set of selected indicators at regional level, collecting and producing of data on section ‘Financial and insurance activities’, as well as conducting a study on the impact of digitalization on productivity by linking data from different sources. 

WP 2 includes activities aiming to provide data on additional characteristics of individuals’ participation in the information society and to collect and produce key indicators on the use of ICT by individuals aged 75 - 89 years at national level. 

The results obtained from the implementation of the project will provide valuable input for the development of EU policies in the field of digitalization. 

The project duration is 16 months and it will be completed in April 2027.
