The NSI participates in a debate on global challenges

On 18 and 19 October 2017 in Brussels, a high-level conference will be held on the topic ‘Power from statistics: data, information and knowledge’.

Over the course of two intensive days statisticians, policymakers, journalists, business leaders, and academics from all over Europe, including NSI Deputy President Diana Yancheva, will discuss how statistics and the statistical community can face global challenges, such as globalisation, migration, and finding a new economic and business model that guarantees sustainable development. The participants will also discuss how and to what extent new societal phenomena can be forecasted and regulated in the new digital era, today and tomorrow.
