‘Statistical Yearbook 2024’ is now available on the website and the digital library of the NSI

The National Statistical Institute presents to users of statistical information from Bulgaria and abroad the bilingual (in Bulgarian and English) 92nd edition of the Statistical Yearbook of the Republic of Bulgaria in electronic format, which is now available on our website and in the digital library:

The publication contains up-to-date statistical information on the demographic, economic, and social development of the country for the period 2018 - 2023, presented at various territorial and classification levels and breakdowns.

The statistical data is presented both for the country as a whole and at the regional level. The administrative-territorial units known as ‘districts’ are presented according to the Law on the Administrative-Territorial Structure of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the territorial units for statistical purposes - ‘statistical zones’ and ‘statistical regions’ - are in accordance with the Classification of Territorial Units for Statistical Purposes in Bulgaria, which corresponds to Eurostat’s NUTS classification.

The international overview includes data that allow comparisons with other countries. Also presented are the aggregated results from the European Comparison Programme on purchasing power parities, the price level indices, and the real GDP per capita, calculated by Eurostat as of December 17, 2024.
