NSI welcomed trainees under the Multi-beneficiary statistical cooperation programme

The National Statistical Institute officially welcomed two trainees under the IPA 2022 Multi-beneficiary statistical cooperation programme. The internship will be held at the Head Office of the NSI in the period 2 September – 28 November 2025, and after its completion the participants will receive certificates certifying the gained knowledge, skills and competences in the professional field of their program.

On behalf of the management, the colleagues were welcomed by the Director of the Multi-Domain Statistics, Methodology and Registers Directorate - Antoaneta Ilkova and the Head of the International Relations and Projects Department - Maria Prokopova-Gochova.

Aneta Kostevska, adviser in the office of the Director-General of the State Statistical Office of the Republic of North Macedonia, will conduct her internship in the field of Quality Management with mentor Maya Ivanova, state expert in the Metadata, Methodology and Registers Management Department at the NSI.

Hydai Morina, senior data analyst at the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, will undergo his internship in Statistics of Income and Living Conditions with mentor Rasim Ryustem, state expert in the Statistics on Living Conditions Department. This is Morina’s second internship in the Bulgarian statistics office, which demonstrates continuous interest for professional development through the regional statistical cooperation programme.

The IPA 2022 Multi-beneficiary statistical cooperation programme is a key instrument for providing technical assistance to EU candidate countries in order to align their current methodologies and practices with the European statistical system. The NSI actively participates in the programme, establishing and developing traditions both in the training of trainees from the statistical offices of the Western Balkan countries and in the expansion of bilateral and regional cooperation.
