NSI has launched Survey on education and training of the population aged 18 - 69

During the period December 12, 2022 - February 28, 2023, the National Statistical Institute will conduct a Survey on education and training of the population aged 18 - 69. The survey is carried out in all EU Member States with a common methodology and a standard questionnaire in accordance with Commission implementing regulation (EU) 2021/861 of 21 May 2021. Specially trained interviewers will visit 5 238 private households distributed in all country districts. The interviewing will be carried out via electronic devices (tablets).

The topic of the survey is the population’s level of participation in different types of learning activities defined as formal education and training (part of the formal education system), non-formal education (courses, private lessons, training seminars, etc.) and informal learning. The resulting data will be used to support the process of evaluation of the policy in the field of lifelong learning in Bulgaria and in the European Union.
