Grant Agreement ‘Statistics on the Information Society 2016’

The National Statistical Institute has started a project ‘Statistics on the Information Society 2016’ in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission No. 06163.2015.001-2015.568. The project includes conducting of two separate surveys - ‘Survey on ICT usage in households and by individuals’ and ‘Survey on ICT usage and e-commerce in enterprises’.

In the framework of the project, data on the development of the information society among the population and the business by several indicators - internet access, ICT usage, e-Commerce and e-Government will be provided.

The project duration is 12 months and it will be completed in December 2016.

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) is a state institution in Bulgaria that collects, processes and disseminates official statistical information on social, economic and demographic processes in the country. The NSI's activities are aimed at providing objective and reliable data that support informed decision-making by the state, business and society. The Institute works in accordance with international statistical standards and is an active participant in the European Statistical System.
