Sixth European Conference on <i>e</i>Government in Poznan, Poland

On the occasion of Polish EU Presidency, on 17 November 2011 in Poznan starts the sixth European Ministerial eGovernment Conference, entitled “Borderless eGovernment Services for Europeans”.
The National Statistical Institute, represented by Mr. Krasimir Slavkov, Director of Information and Communication Technologies Directorate, will present the successfully conducted in February 2011 Population and Housing eCensus in Bulgaria, in the context of the eGovernment.
The Conference is expected to be attended by about 900 delegates from all over the world. Participants include Ministers from the Member States, officials form national, regional and local administrations, representatives from industry, civil society and experts.
At the conference which consists of three plenary and fifteen parallel sessions, political, social and economic issues related to accessibility and development of eGovernment services in the European Union will be discussed.
In addition to the Conference, an Exhibition will be organized which will showcase the most recent European developments in the field of eGovernment – both at national and European level. Each Member State shall demonstrate up to three cases according to its own priorities and approaches to eGovernment.
The Bulgarian stand at the exhibition will present the achievements of the National Statistical Institute in the provision of electronic services to citizens.
