Immediately after the conference there will be a meeting of the OECD Committee on Statistics and Statistical Policy, in which Bulgaria has the status of ‘participant’.

The President of the National Statistical Institute Mr. Sergey Tsvetarsky will take part in both prestigious international forums.

The Conference of European Statisticians is one of the oldest statistical bodies worldwide, with its roots in the League of Nations and the first Conference on Statistics in 1928. Over the years, the Conference has played an important role in the promotion and modernisation of official statistics.
