On January 14, 2014, an agreement between NSI and the "Working Conditions" Fund was concluded for updating "Accidents" and "Occupational diseases" statistical systems according to European statistics on accidents at work (European statistics on Accidents at Work - ESAW) and the European statistics on occupational diseases (European Occupational Diseases Statistics - EODS). The main activities in the revision of the two systems include an update of the general methodology, classifications in accordance to the new organizational structure in terms of communication, registration, validation, reporting and appeal of occupational accidents and diseases.
The update activities will be carried out by an interdepartmental working group composed of experts from the National Statistical Institute and the National Social Security Institute.
The project duration is six months and it ends in June 2014.
