In July 2014, the number of the trips of Bulgarian residents abroad was 453.8 thousand or by 1.8% above the registered in July 2013. The trips with other purposes (as a guest, education and visit the cultural and sport events) in July 2014 composed the greatest share of the total number of trips of Bulgarian residents abroad - 47.3%, followed by the trips with holiday and recreation purposes - 32.4%, and with professional purpose - 20.3%.
In July 2014, the number of arrivals of visitors from abroad to Bulgaria was 1 792.5 thousands or by 4.9% above the level of July 2013. An increase was registered in the trips with professional purpose - by 54.0% and with other purposes - by 27.5%, while the trips with holiday and recreation purpose decreased by 11.9%.
