Statistical Review of Blagoevgrad District 2002

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) informs users of statistical information that the regional publication Statistical Review of Blagoevgrad District 2002 is already available.
The published data refer to Blagoevgrad district, which according to the latest administrative-territorial division of the country as of January 5, 1999 consists of the following municipalities: Bansko, Belitsa, Blagoevgrad, Gotse Delchev, Garmen, Kresna, Petrich, Razlog, Sandanski, Satovcha, Strumyani, Hadzhidimovo and Yakoruda.
Statistical data on the territory, as well as the environment, population, health, education, culture, tourism, as well as data on the main economic activity groupings in the district's economy over the 1997-2001 period are presented in separate sections.
Topical data on economic indicators are of particular interest to customers, namely: persons employed under labour and civil contract, average annual wages and salaries, employment and unemployment, gross domestic product - total and per capita, gross value added structure by economic sectors, expenditure on acquisition of tangible fixed assets, foreign direct investment, as well as data on the development of main economic activities (industry, construction, agriculture, transport, communications and domestic trade). Other important indicators characterizing the living standard of the population are also included, such as households income and expenditure, pension and social insurance, accommodation establishments, hospital establishments, kindergartens, educational and cultural institutions etc.
Data from the last census of population, housing and agricultural farms as of March 1, 2001 are provided in a separate section.
The data in Statistical Review of Blagoevgrad District 2002 is aggregated on a district and municipal level, by economic sectors and economic activity groupings and kind of ownership.
