Population 2007

The National Statistical Institute informs users of statistical information that the bilingual publication (in English and Bulgarian) Population 2007 is already available. The issue contains information on the demographic status of the Republic of Bulgaria in 2007. Data on the number of the population by sex and age as well as its natural movement and internal migration are published in the publication.
The publication includes information on the number of the population at the end of the year and the average annual population in the respective year.
The information on vital statistics contains data on marriages, births, deaths, divorces and internal migration. The demographic indicators for fertility, total and infant mortality, marriage and divorce rates are calculated and presented in the issue.
Data on the population and demographic events are presented at national and regional level according to the administrative division of Bulgaria - planning regions, districts and municipalities. The changes in the administrative structure of Bulgaria during the year are reported and are published in appendix.
The analysis in the issue presents the main trends in the development of demographic processes in the Republic of Bulgaria. The publication contains also short methodological notes.
The information in edition is synthetic mode and addressed to a wide range of users.
The National Statistical Institute also offers to users of statistical information an e-version of the issue.
