According to final data of NSI, in 2024, family businesses encompassed 108 056 enterprises, and the number of people employed in them was 394 839. According to their distribution by economic sectors, the largest number of enterprises operated in sector G 'Trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles' - 34 631, and the smallest in sector B 'Extractive industry' - 28.
In terms of territorial distribution, the largest relative share of enterprises was located in Sofia (stolitsa) district - 33.48%, and the smallest in Targovishte district - 1.05%.
