In 2024, compared to the previous 2023, an insignificant increase in the share of renewable energy in the gross final energy consumption in the country was observed - by 0.06 percentage points, whereby it reached 23.21%.
The sectoral shares of renewable energy also showed an increase compared to 2023, as the largest increase was observed in electricity produced from renewable sources - by 4.14 percentage points, to 33.84%, followed by the renewable energy in fuel consumption of transport - by 0.11 percentage points - to 8.20%. Renewable energy for heating and cooling showed a decrease compared to 2023 (when a significant increase was observed) - by 1.87 percentage points, reaching a share of 34.19%.
