Rail transport - goods carried and transport performance by kind of goods; railway accidents, killed and injured persons by kind of accidents - annual data - 2025

In 2025, the goods carried by railway freight transport amounted to 13 731.2 thousand tonnes and the performance stood at 3 997.8 tonne-kilometres, which was a drop of 12.2% and 8.5% respectively on the previous year.

The number of the transported railway passengers reached 20 986.4 thousand, a 0.8% drop on 2024. The performance also declined by 2.8% to 1 458.6 million passenger-kilometres.
