Wholesale sales and retail sales by group of goods - 2024

NSI publishes final data on the wholesale sales of consumer goods and on the retail sales for 2024.

The non-financial enterprises in Bulgaria realized wholesale sales (incl. VAT and excise taxes) of 91 970 million BGN, of which 58.9% were from durable and other consumer goods and 41.1% - from food, beverages and tobacco products. Compared to the previous year, the volume of wholesale sales increased by 7.3%.

The retail sales (incl. VAT and excise duties) amounted to 78 414 million BGN, with durable and other consumer goods dominating with a share of 62.6%. Compared to 2023, the volume of retail sales increased by 9.1%.
