In 2024, the value of final output produced in Forestry amounted to 1 923.6 million BGN, which was 10.1% lower than in the previous year. The final output of goods from the economic activity 'Forestry and logging' amounted to 1 719.4 million BGN, with output from silvicultural activities accounting for the largest share - 69.2%, or 1 190.2 million BGN, followed by output from logging activities - 30.6%, or 526.4 million BGN. Output from non-wood forest products accounted for 0.1%, or 2.8 million BGN.
The value of intermediate consumption in forestry amounted to 1 099.7 million BGN, which was 5.4% lower than in the previous year.
Gross value added generated in forestry amounted to 823.9 million BGN, which was 15.6% lower than in 2023. Entrepreneurial income amounted to 486.1 million BGN, representing a decrease of 16.6% compared with the previous year.
In 2024, gross fixed capital formation in forestry amounted to 82.6 million BGN. The largest share was accounted for by gross fixed capital formation in machinery and equipment - 56.1 million BGN, followed by gross fixed capital formation in buildings - 25.4 million BGN.
