Financial accounts - 2025

In 2025, the Net financial transactions for the total economy were -7 939 million EUR (-15 528 million BGN), while the Financial net worth of the total economy is - 5 983 million EUR (-11 702 million BGN).

The Annual national financial accounts for Bulgaria are compiled in compliance with the requirements of the European system of National and Regional accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).

Data on Annual financial accounts include assets and liabilities for stocks and transactions of financial instruments, broken down by institutional sectors of the economy, as well as balancing items - Financial net worth and Net financial transactions.

*At the time of the current press release, NSI has requested but not yet received a copy of the audit report of the Bulgarian National Audit Office regarding an extraordinary audit of road infrastructure projects in the public sector as assigned by a decision of the National Assembly of Bulgaria. Depending on the findings of that report and after a following analysis, verification and validation by Eurostat, the data for the General Government sector may be revised.
