Study visit to the National Statistical Institute on “Tourism satellite accounts” for experts from the Republic of Azerbaijan

On 29-31 October 2014 the National Statistical Institute hosts training for experts from the State Statistical Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The training aims to introduce experts from the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Bulgarian practice in the area of “Tourism Satellite Accounts”.

Experts from “Business Statistics” and “Macroeconomic Statistics” Directorate will share the experience of NSI in the field of national accounts, national accounts and relations with tourism satellite accounts, surveys in the field of Bulgarian tourism statistics in respect of the Regulation 692/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning European statistics on tourism, accommodation survey, border survey, households survey, overview of the tourism satellite accounts.

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) is a state institution in Bulgaria that collects, processes and disseminates official statistical information on social, economic and demographic processes in the country. The NSI's activities are aimed at providing objective and reliable data that support informed decision-making by the state, business and society. The Institute works in accordance with international statistical standards and is an active participant in the European Statistical System.
