Energy consumption in Services

In 2023 compared to 2022 a decrease was observed in the energy consumption in the ‘Services’ sector - by 5.95% to 52 895.172 TJ.

Over half of the energy consumption in this sector in 2023 (61.30%) was taken up by just three sub-sections. Section G – ‘Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles’, consumed 11 829.832 TJ, which is 22.36% from the energy consumption of all services. Section I – ‘Accommodation and food services activities’, represented 20.77% of the total consumption, or 10 984.742 TJ. The aggregated positon of sections K and L – ‘Financial and insurance activities; real estate activities’, followed with energy consumption of 9 610.055 TJ, or 18.17%.
