Data description | The non-universal postal services cover the orders, carriages and deliveries of national and international post parcels, which are not part from the universal postal services. These services include transport, delivery, distribution, storage and processing of clients goods or correspondence. Observed are national and international courier services, parcels over 10 up to 20 kg and telegrams. National services - the sender and the addressee are on national territory. International services - the sender and the addressee are in different countries. |

Statistical concepts and definitions | Courier service - is a postal service with an additional value above the universal postal service. It guaranties faster and safer receiving, transport and delivery of the parcels directly to the recipient and offers all or some of the following additional services: · Collecting from the sender`s address; · Delivery up to fix date; · Possibility of changing the place for the delivery and the recipient; · Informing the sender that the parcel is received; · Possibility for supervision and tracking out the parcels; · Personal services for the clients such as the service "a la carte" (by choice) in the necessary way and in the right time ("on demand" and "per contract"). The courier services include postal parcels like correspondence parcels (letters and/or post cards), printed issues (newspapers, periodicals, books, catalogues and other printed publications), small parcels up to 2 kg and courier services ?direct mail? (direct post advertising) up ti 1 kg and parcels up to 10 kg. Parcels include national and international parcels from 10 to 20 kg of goods of commercial and non-commercial value. A parcel is a package post with defined dimensions and weight and contains different objects, materials and goods. Telegrams include receiving and delivery of electronic or physical messages. |

Data description | The statistical survey of non-financial enterprises provides information by size of enterprises in terms of employed, by the following economic indicators: number of enterprises, number of persons employed, revenues, expenditure and tangible fixed assets. The annual data of non-financial enterprises are aggregated by sections (the first sign of NACE.BG-2008) The annual data, grouping by size class: the indicators are published on section level (the first sign of NACE.BG-2008) and by size class of employment. Annual regional data: Three indicators are published on a regional level by sections (the first sign of NACE.BG-2008 and NACE.BG-2003) and by statistical regions (NUTS). |

Statistical unit | The basic unit of survey is an enterprise. The overall main economic indicators and the data by size class of employment are calculated from the annual data of the enterprises. Developed by NSI on-line based information system "Business Statistics" and ensured methodological and technical assistance to respondents during the reporting campaign are highly appreciated by respondents and help to reduce their workload. | |

According to preliminary data annual reports on their activity for 2018 were submitted at the National Statistical Institute by 413 162 non-financial enterprises and the number of persons, employed in them, was 2 207 549. These enterprises generated 180 626 million BGN of production value and reported a positive financial result of 17 035 million BGN.

According to preliminary data annual reports on their activity for 2017 were submitted at the National Statistical Institute by 405 933 non-financial enterprises and the number of persons, employed in them, was 2 235 217. These enterprises generated 168 050 million BGN of production value and reported a positive financial result of 16 729 million BGN.
