Data description

Information is provided about the quantities of waste generated from all economic activities (excluding households) and what happens with it. Quantities of waste passed to other enterprises for further recovery or disposal, and those exported out of the country are shown.

Classification system

· List of Wastes (Appendix No.1 at the Art. 5, para. 1 of the Ordinance No. 3/1.04.2004 on waste classification issued by the Minister of environment and water and the Minister of health care, published in ?State Gazette?, No. 44 of 25 May 2004);

· European Waste Catalogue.

All economic sectors excluding agriculture, forestry and fishing, and households.

Statistical concepts and definitions

Waste means any substance, object or part thereof, which the holder disposes of, intends to dispose of or is required to dispose of, and is included into one of the categories listed in the Waste Management Act.

Statistical unit

Economic entities whose activity causes generation, recovery, disposal, collection or disassembling of waste.

Statistical population

All economic entities excluding agriculture, forestry and fishing, and households.

Individual data are not published in accordance with article 25 of the Law on Statistics. The publishing of individual data can be performed only in accordance with article 26 of the same law.
