Number Concept Description
1 Data description Data on the number of the children aged 0 - 4 in the creches and the kindergarten (equivalent to ISCED level 0) are provided. The creches are separate structures in which medical and other specialists are teaching and bringing up children aged 3 months to 3 years. Kindergartens are creating conditions for the normal physical and mental health of the children up to their entering the first class.
2 Classification used Unified Classification of Administrative-Territorial and Territorial Units (UCATTU)
3 Coverage Detached creches as well as groups in kindergartens in the eight cities, their Larger Urban Zones and the country as a whole are covered. Kindergartens cover all state, municipal and private kindergartens in the Urban Audit spatial units. The aim is to measure the demand and not the supply of day care.
