The improvement of statistical information quality is one of priority directions in the National Statistical System development.

The NSS aims to provide statistical products and services that correspond to the statistical information needs of different user groups. The improvement of statistical information quality is carried out continuously by looking for the lowest possible costs and reducing the response burden.

The quality activities in NSS are built on the fifteen principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice, covering the institutional environment, statistical processes and statistical outputs.

The NSS Quality Assurance Framework includes methods and tools that aim to guarantee the compliance with the requirements to the statistical processes and products, and to ensure the required statistical information quality.
