Functions:
Elaboration, up-dating and improvement of statistical tools for the statistical surveys in the domain of agro-monetary statistics in compliance with EU legislation
Responsibility for the organization and implementation of the statistical surveys in the domain of agro-monetary and forestry statistics included in the National Statistical Program
Preparation of press releases and statistical data for publication on the NSIs internet site and other statistical issues, produced by the institute according to the Schedule for data collection, data processing and dissemination of statistical information
Maintenance of data series on the satellite accounts, agricultural prices and price indices
Data supplying by users request
Elaboration, maintaining and up-dating of the system of national classifications and registers, together with the other departments in the institute
Coordination of the data collection and data supplying activities between the data producers in the NSI concerning Rural Development Statistics for setting-up of common EU database
Responsibility for the implementation of EU legislation in the domain of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Statistics together with the statistical bodies (Agrostatistics Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food) and other institutions Executive Forestry Agency and Executive Fishery and Aquaculture Agency
Participation in the Eurostat Working Groups (Agricultural Accounts and Prices, Forestry Statistics and Rural Development Statistics) and Standing Committee of Agricultural Statistics and other international working groups in the domain of agricultural statistics
