• Ensure the implementation of the relevant part of the National Statistical Program through harmonized with European legislation methodological work, organizing and conducting statistical surveys in the field of:

– public health statistics – health care resources, health care expenditures, causes of death statistics and sample surveys of health status of the population.

– justice and jurisdiction as well as population based sample surveys on safety of citizens.

• Realize coordination between the NSI and other Bodies of Statistics and institutions in the field of public health and justice statistics.

• Take part in the co-ordination and update of the legal basis in the field of public health and justice statistics in compliance with the international requirements as well as EC and Eurostat Regulations.

• Prepare and disseminate statistical information in the field of public health and justice statistics.

• Accomplish international exchange of statistical information in the field of public health and justice statistics. Coordinate the activities concerning other Bodies of Statistics’ data submission.

• Prepare analysis, analytical reports, methodological papers, proposals and positions on public health and justice statistics for Eurostat and within the NSI’ system.

• Participate in the multi-institutional working groups on public health and justice statistics issues.

• Participate in the Eurostat and other international organizations working groups, technical groups, task forces, workshops etc. on public health and justice statistics.
