• Provide the execution of the National Statistical Program based on the harmonized with the European legislation methodology, organization and conduction of surveys on:

– Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (SILC)

– Household Budget Survey (HBS)

– Social Protection Statistics (ESSPROS)

• Realize the international exchange of statistical information, coordination of the activity on provision of statistical data by other statistical bodies.

• Prepare and submit individual data and tables on HBS for predefined reference years (2005 and 2010 at present), unified for the EU member states

• Prepare and submit to Eurostat cross-sectional and longitudinal SILC data and specific information on ad-hoc modules

• Elaborate the basic indicators on the country official poverty line, monetary and non-monetary poverty and social inclusion indicators and indicators for monitoring the progress on "Europe 2020" strategy execution

Coordinate and supervise activity on collecting social protection expenditures and receipts by schemes and by functions. Information is gathered from administrative sources.

• Render international exchange of statistical data and coordinate the provision of data from other statistical bodies

• Prepare analyses, analytical reports, methodological papers, proposals and positions in the field of the Statistics on the households’ income and expenditure, income, the households expenditure and consumption and ESSPROS.

• Participate in the work of inter-institutional working groups on income and living conditions issues, income, the households’ expenditure and consumption and ESSPROS.

• Participate in the Eurostat and international organizations activities through participation in working and technical groups meetings, task forces, seminars, etc.
