• Construction, maintenance and updating of statistical business registers ("Register of statistical units" - RSU) in the NSI;

• Construction, maintenance and updating of the Eurogroup register in NSI and annual update of statistical units of type 'multinational enterprise groups’ and data exchange for them with EUROSTAT;

• Processing and data input from external administrative sources - data processing records maintained at the Registry Agency (BULSTAT, Trade Register);

• Processing and loading data for insured persons from the register of insured persons (NSSI);

• Administration and maintenance of the general system of RSU – support of national and departmental classifications (EKATTE, Classification of occupations and internal classifications.)

• Administration of access to database of the Statistical Business Register and the Information System of the Trade Register;

• Creation and termination of statistical units;

• Defining populations for statistical surveys;

• Sampling processing of statistical surveys;

• Registration of data collected by statistical surveys - updating the characteristics of statistical units;

• Performing procedures "Annual update of statistical units", which forming the scope of active, dormant or ceased statistical units;

• Processing journal of proposals for "Changing statistical units data - demographic events" (birth, cessation, characteristic’s changes);

• Preparation of reports and requests for internal and external users;

• Provision of methodological assistance to statistical departments in NSI and RSO;

• Carrying out projects funded by the European Commission, international organizations and other local and foreign entities associated with the development and implementation of new methodologies and activities in the field of business registers (Eurogroup register), statistical units and structural business statistics (Business demography), according to current Regulations of the Council and EC.
