• Development of new and updating of existing methodologies and tools for collection the annual reports of economic active enterprises; supporting, updating and extension of information system “Business statistics” (ISBS).
• Organizing of foreseen in National Statistical Program annual statistical surveys of structural business statistics (SBS), statistics of financial and non-financial enterprises and specific surveys by economic activities, monthly observations of production and domestic sales of main industrial products and quarterly surveys of insurance and reinsurance companies.
• Methodological assistance to statistical bodies and Regional Statistical Offices (RSO), connected with preparation and accomplishment of annual and short-term statistical surveys, data processing and using the final results.
• Improvement of quality of annual accountant and statistical information, reported by all economic active enterprises, through added arithmetic and logic input controls in ISBS and off-line systems and through development and updating filters for additional data logic control.
• Development and updating the algorithms for automatic calculation of compulsory SBS indicators on enterprise level and receiving aggregated outputs for all series of Annexes from I to VIII, according Regulation (EU) ¹ 251/2009, indicators of enterprises under foreign control (FATS), according Regulation (EU) ¹ 716/2007 and data of production and sales of industrial products (PRODCOM) – Regulation (ÅEC) ¹ 3924/91.
• Development and updating the outputs from ISBS and off-line systems, for obtaining SBS, FATS and PRODCOM data, according to Eurostat methodology, and data for financial and non-financial enterprises, according to national methodology, for all required aggregation levels based on NACE Rev.2, regional location and groups by size class. Calculation of primary and secondary data confidentiality for each aggregation level, and also for all disseminated data under interagency agreements, contracts and individual requests.
• Validation and transformation of SBS, FATS and PRODCAM data in required technical format, according Regulations (EU) ¹ 250/2009 and ¹ 364/2008 and transmission of the data to Eurostat on time.
• Preparation of quality reports of SBS data for Annexes ²-²V, V, V², V²² and V²²² and for FATS data, according to Regulations (EU) ¹ 275/2010 and ¹ 834/2009.
• Organizing and participation in workshops on annual year-end closing problems, coordination of annual reports within the NSI and between interested governmental bodies and participation in working-groups on PRODCOM data submission.
• Participation in workshops in Eurostat on SBS, FATS and PRODCOM and dealing with regular correspondence, related to the duties of preparation and transmission of SBS, FATS and PRODCOM data, verification and validation of transmitted data from Eurostat and permission for their publication on Eurostat website.
• Providing the positions and answers to Eurostat and other international organizations, related to the preparation of legal documents, manuals, programs and projects and filling of international questionnaires.
• Preparation of data and metadata for publication on the website of NSI, statistical yearbook and other specialized statistical publications, according SBS and national methodology. Providing of summarized annual accounting and statistical information for economical active enterprises to other governmental institutions, business associations, unions and banks and individual requests from different external users; implementation of requests from TSB.
• Methodological assistance to the respondents during the collection phase – the period from 1st January to 30th April, for using the on-line information system “Business statistic” and off-line systems for submitting the annual reports of the enterprises.
