The Inspectorate carries out control over activity of Central Board of National Statistical Institute/NSI/ and of Territorial Statistical Bureaus as a second-line spending administration. The Inspectorate is subordinated to President of National Statistical Institute.
• compliance with Statistical Law and other normative acts in the system of National Statistical Institute; controls the implementation of the plan of overall activity of National Statistical Institute; the execution of the NSI President orders; the realization of the decisions made by the President council of NSI; conducts planned, specific and thematic examinations over the activity of the structural units of NSI system according to the NSI President and Vice-presidents’ order;
• adherence to work-schedules for processing statistical data; the implementation of contracts, signed by NSI; the execution of obligations, evolving from international official trips; observance of working and technological discipline and the execution of tasks, set by decisions of National Statistical Council and other acts of governmental and state authorities;
• prepares and represents monthly reports and information about the results of the control activity and makes suggestions for eliminating violations, faults and problems;
• the actions, which were taken for eliminating violations, faults and problems, determined during the examinations;
• gives attitudes about general concepts and separate issues concerning the organization of statistical activity, as well as bills and other regulations;
• gives attitudes about Territorial Statistical Bureaus’ regulations and their internal organization;
• accomplishes examinations and gives attitudes about submitted complaints, requests and signals.
The Inspectorate carries out control and accomplishes examinations according to Prevention and Settlement Conflict of Interests Act.
The Inspectorate is authorized to make a suggestion of starting disciplinary proceeding in cases of offence of official duties, as well as The Code of ethics for the government officials.
By methods and forms of control the Inspectorate affords the President an opportunity for judgment and making decisions regarding improvement effectiveness of administrative activities.
