Starting from 1 October 2004, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities has implemented a new strategy focused on free of charge data dissemination of European statistics. The users of Eurostat website have possibilities to find free of charge harmonised statistical information included in Eurostat databases and electronic publications. Information published on the Eurostat website is available in English, French and German.

Providing free access to the data, Eurostat in co-operation with national statistical institutions sets up a net of national centres called European Statistical Data Support (ESDS) to support users in working with European statistical information.

Since 1 April 2007, this service is provided by National Statistical Institute of the Republic of Bulgaria by Dissemination Department. If you are looking for data and require assistance, our information specialists offer advice and guidance on all Eurostat products and services.

To facilitate our users we have implemented new ESDS web site in Bulgarian language. There are many detailed information about Eurostat's products and servicies (Продукти и услуги), as well as links to different statisitcal themens (Статистики по теми). The menu "Статистики по теми (Statistical Themes)" is organised like the statistical themes on Eurostat web site.
