The National Statistical Institute annual publication Bulgaria 2009 - Statistical Panorama (in Bulgarian and summary in English) is available to users of statistical information. In the issue are analyzed the demographic, social and economic development of the Republic of Bulgaria in 2009. Comparisons with the previuous 2008, the basic 2000 and the year 1995 are also made. The publication considers trends and structural changes occurring in the country. Results from pilot Eurostat projects and one-time surveys in the respective fields are being used.
The publication is formed topically by sections, as each section contains short analytical text with charts and tables. The main indicators characterized the economy and financial market, characteristics and specific problems of the current process and phenomena that refer to the population and demographic processes, social characteristics and life conditions, the state of the main economic activities, environment and the development of science and technology are examined.
This analytical publication is addressed to state and local authorities, business circles, non-governmental organizations, politicians, researchers, lecturers, students, experts, and to all citizens who are interested in country’s economic and social development.
The publication is available on CD-ROM and is also published on the NSI website.
