The National Statistical Institute presents the annual publication Population and demographic processes 2007 to users of statistical information.
The issue is bilingual (Bulgarian/English) and contains detailed statistical information about the demographic state in the Republic of Bulgaria during the year of 2007. Data for the number and the structures of the population and for its natural movement and internal migration are published in the issue.
The information about the vital statistics contains data for the registered during the year marriages, births, deaths, divorces and internal migration. All these events are given in a separate division and are linked with the main demographic characteristics of the persons whom they are registered. Since 2007 the mechanical movement of the population has included all persons changed their present address in the country and abroad.
Tables with data on the movement of Bulgarian citizens from and to the country, as well on the residence of foreign citizens on the territory of Bulgaria are included in the issue.
The demographic indicators for fertility, mortality, marriage and divorce rates are calculated and presented in the issue.
The publication contains time series of statistical data for the main demographic indicators for a period covering more fifty years. This gives the opportunity for in-depth and professional study of the demographic processes in the country.
Data for the population and demographic events are presented at national and regional level. The regional review contains data by districts as well by planning regions and municipalities for some indicators.
The section containing data given by main indicators of the natural movement of the population in European countries also offers interesting information.
The issue also contains methodological notes, and an analysis of the population and the demographic processes in the Republic of Bulgaria.
