With the partnership of the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria, the sixth conference of the European Forum for Geostatistics (EFGS) will take place from 23rd to 25th October 2013 in Sofia at Radisson Blue Grand Hotel, situated on the Narodno Sabranie Square.
The forum will discuss on topics related to spatial statistics from different data sources with a main focus on identifying the needs of data users.
The EFGS is a voluntary association of experts from the National Statistical Institutes (NSIs) in Europe engaged in the development of the best practices in the production of geostatistics.
Currently the EFGS is composed of 40 countries with one representative from each National Statistical Institute. The annual Conference is among the most significant events in the area of geostatistics in Europe, where producers as well as geostatics and spatial data users from around the world can participate.
The Conference will welcome representatives from Eurostat and Directorate General “Regional Policy” of the European Commission.
