NSI has started a project “Statistics on the information society 2013” implemented in accordance with the Grant agreement with the European Commission № 50701.2012.003-2012.345. The project includes conducting of two separate surveys – “Survey on ICT usage in households and by individuals” and “Survey on ICT usage and e-commerce in enterprises”. The surveys will be carried out in compliance with Regulation of the European Commission 2012 implementing Regulation (EC) № 808/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning Community statistics on the information society and will be held together in all member states of the European Union according to a common methodology, which will ensure international comparability of the results.

It will be provided data on the development of the information society among the population and the business: internet access, ICT usage, e-Commerce and e-Government.

The duration of the project is 12 months and it will be completed in December 2013. Main results will be published on the NSI’s website.
