12th grade Students from "Elin Pelin", 19th Secondary School, profile "Entrepreneurship and Business", visited the National Statistical Institute on November 22, 2012.
In this study visit the students met with key experts from NSI and got acquainted with the process of collection, production and dissemination of statistical information, as well as the practical side of business surveys and other statistical surveys.
The Presentation on "Research in tabular form - analysing statistical information and the ways of its graphical presentation" was presented by the Head of "Statistics of income and households expenditure" department at NSI, which turned into a discussion about the practical aspects of analysis and graphical displaying of statistical information.
This meeting is part of the NSI initiatives aimed at increasing of statistical literacy and encouraging the interest of young audience dedicated to the upcoming International Year of Statistics 2013.
The future economists and entrepreneurs shared their opinion that the meeting was very useful and has awakened their interest towards the practical application of statistical data, as well for statistics as a science
