NSI published the results from Quality Self-assessment in the National Statistical System
The National Statistical Institute presents to its users the results from the Quality self-assessment in the National Statistical System, conducted in the period May - July 2012.

The ensuring of high quality statistics and continuous improvement of statistical processes and products are priority fields in the statistical activity of the National Statistical System (NSS). Quality of statistical information produced by the NSS is largely determined by the quality of statistical processes, implemented and applied by the NSI, the Bodies of Statistics and Bulgarian National Bank.

The analysis of results provides evaluation with regard to the application of the following European Statistics Code of Practice principles: “Sound Methodology”, “Appropriate Statistical Procedures”, “Non-Excessive Burden on Respondents” and “Cost Effectiveness”. The Code of Practice sets the standard for development, production and dissemination of statistical information and guarantees for correct functioning of the ESS. The results from quality self-assessment of statistical processes indicate that the degree of application of principles is good, the calculated general quality indicator of statistical processes is 4,45 and the principle “Sound Methodology” was the most highly rated one.

The Analysis of results from the Quality Self-assessment is published in “Quality” section on the NSI website.
