The Director of “European and International Cooperation and Coordination” Directorate Mrs. Eleonora Avramova will participate in a meeting of the Dissemination Working Group which will be held on 10-11 November 2011 in Eurostat. During the meeting the report for the performance of the Sponsorship on Communication will be submitted for approval.

The report presents several projects to be implemented within the EU - the website of the European Statistical System, logo of the European Statistical System, setting up a common set of ESS information on the NSI websites, guidelines for the use of social media for dissemination of statistical information (Facebook, You Tube, Wikipedia, etc...), and focused websites for students. Eurostat will present the results of the implementation of the strategy for dissemination and communication of the ESS.

Bulgaria actively participated in the work of the Sponsorship Group and hosted one of its meetings in May this year. The decisions of the Working Group will be presented at the meeting of the ESS Committee on 17 November 2011 and will be an important step towards the realization of a common strategy for popularization of the European Statistical System (ESS) and increase of users’ confidence in European statistics.
