From 2 to 5 August 2011 a delegation from the NSI, led by Assoc. Prof. Mariana Kotzeva will pay an official visit to the Department of Statistics of Jordan.

The reason for the visit is the conclusion of an Agreement for cooperation between the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria and the Department of Statistics of Jordan in the field of statistics.

It is envisaged that the two statistical offices will cooperate and exchange experience and information in the field of statistical legislation, methodology for statistical surveys, business and demographic statistics, national accounts and prices, environment and others.

The agenda of the visit includes meetings with the top management of the Department of Statistics of Jordan, on which the National Statistical System of Bulgaria and the work of the Department of Statistics of Jordan will be presented.

The visit to Jordan will expand the geography of international cooperation of Bulgarian statistics, will contribute to enhancing its reputation on international level and is in full compliance with the European Neighbourhood Policy.
