Economic activities, covered in data production are: Extraction of coal, oil and natural gas; Production of petroleum products; Production of BKB; Production of electricity; Transport via pipelines; Trade (imports/exports) of energy products.

Individual data are not published in accordance with article 25 of the Law on Statistics. The publishing of individual data can be performed only in accordance with article 26 of the same law.
Date for publishing of statistical information is according to the Release Calendar presenting the results of the statistical surveys carried out by the National Statistical Institute. Statistical information on the production and deliveries of energy products are published 60 days after the reference period.

The questionnaires contain logical and arithmetical controls. Validation is done at regional level - in RSO and at national level - in NSI, and is expressed in comparison with the previous periods and other internal sources of information.
